ScanPlant NG SeaPack Update

Poul Jessen, Regional Service Manager for Central and Northern Jutland, and Kenneth Larsen, International Service Business Manager, who were behind the first generation of sea packaging systems in 2010, have now reunited as a team at Scanvaegt Systems.

We have both been involved in Scanvaegt’s latest sea packaging system, which has significantly improved the user experience. The new version can also be connected to virtually all existing marine scales,” says Poul Jessen.

Scanvaegt offers a software update for the sea packaging system that ensures the new software can communicate with the current ELOG client. According to Poul Jessen, this is highly relevant due to the new ELOG client version 14.0, which must be implemented by the end of 2024, replacing the old version 13.0.3.

“Our Scanplant Seapack software can continue to send data to the new ELOG client version 14.0 – it simply requires an update of the installed Seapack systems from Scanvaegt,” explains Poul Jessen.

Customers with a software support agreement only need to request an update, while customers without an agreement can contact Scanvaegt Service to schedule an update.

According to Kenneth Larsen, Scanvaegt Systems places great emphasis on what the future holds for the fishing industry, including monitoring and automatic catch registration down to species and size level.

“We are closely following the ongoing EVERYFISH project, and if parts of this project form the basis for new regulations, Scanvaegt Systems will provide a timely solution for installation, commissioning, and service,” he says, continuing, “So we are ready to ensure that our Scanplant Seapack software meets any future initiatives from the EU and the Danish AgriFish Agency.”
