Scanvaegt Systems A/S is one of Scandinavia’s leading companies in preventive maintenance and is now launching a new service concept called the ScanCare Service Concept. This concept offers significant new benefits to customers and provides service for equipment from both Scanvaegt Systems and other machine suppliers.
The new concept has been developed in collaboration with customers and includes four service packages – Basic, Standard, Premium, and Calibration – which replace the previous two packages. Each package can be 100% customized to the individual customer’s needs, taking into account specific factors such as production size, seasonal fluctuations, warranty preferences, and more.
Savings for Customers
Peder Schmidt, Deputy Managing Director at Scanvaegt Systems A/S, states: “We are very proud of this new offering for our customers. We serve a wide range of service customers across the food industry, retail, recycling, raw materials industries, and more. With this new service concept, we can meet everyone’s needs. Our expectation is that the 'Standard package' will be the most popular service option. With the Standard package, a service protocol is established and spare parts are replaced before they are worn out. This prevents breakdowns and ensures high production uptime.”
With the Standard package, Scanvaegt offers customers a service agreement at a fixed annual price, which includes everything from spare parts to travel and hotline support for both Scanvaegt Systems’ equipment and third-party machinery. This means customers can save significant costs not only through fewer breakdowns and higher uptime but also on travel expenses from other service providers, since Scanvaegt technicians can service equipment from multiple manufacturers.
There are additional benefits to a ScanCare agreement, as Peder Schmidt explains: “It will also be easier for the customer to have one service provider – they only need to call one place for assistance. Many of our customers operate production sites across Scandinavia, so having a strong service partner with a large organization covering all the countries where our customers operate is a major advantage.”
24/7/365 Service Coverage
Scanvaegt Systems is a leading service provider in Scandinavia with 60 service technicians in Denmark, 30 in Sweden, and 12 in Norway. In Denmark, 24/7 coverage is offered year-round with the ScanCare Standard and Premium packages. These agreements include inspections and preventive maintenance of production equipment, where worn parts are replaced before failure occurs – preventing production stops and maintaining high uptime. This protects the customer’s profitability and creates significant value.
Customers can also choose a response time as short as 1.5 hours, ensuring that a Scanvaegt service technician arrives promptly to quickly resolve production downtime.
Short Payback Period
Another important factor for customers is the payback period on their equipment. With a service agreement, customers ensure their equipment runs optimally and precisely – reducing waste and give-away, saving labor time, and thereby enabling a quicker return on investment.
Regular maintenance also preserves the equipment’s value over time.
Scanvaegt Systems offers an 8-year buy-back guarantee with the Premium solution, extendable to 10 years. In practice, this means Scanvaegt services the equipment for 8 years and then buys it back. The ScanCare Service Concept also offers an extended warranty of up to 3 years on all Scanvaegt equipment.
