A unique design with a minimal number of internal mechanical parts and a metal frame makes the PD45S robust and reliable. This makes the printer suitable for a wide range of applications. A large glass window design allows users to easily monitor the printer’s status and consumables. A side opening makes it simple to change ribbons and label rolls. This is also where used liner paper is collected and easily removed.

The PD45S runs on an Arm Cortex-A7 / 800MHz processor, with 128MB memory and 128MB DDR3 SDRAM. It features a sophisticated industrial print head that supports both direct thermal and thermal transfer printing. Honeywell’s patented dual sensor technology supports a dynamic positioning function that ensures a minimum label height of 5mm and vertical position accuracy of 0.5mm. Two sets of adjustable pressure bars and dual media guides ensure precise media feeding and help prevent ribbon wrinkles and print residue.
